The choice for psychotherapy is usually a difficult one. Often there is a time in advance of sticking on and trying to do it on your own, before help is searched. A taboo on psychological problems can play tricks. When the first step to the therapist has been done, you will find that it is as usual or unusual as visiting the doctor or specialist for physical complaints. On this website, I will comment on the most asked questions about Analytic Therapy and Hypnotherapy. If questions remain, then I’ll take the time for you, for example in an interview.
When can aid be called psychotherapy
You can talk about psychotherapy when the therapist has had a specific training course, knowledge of how the mental health problems arise and there has to be an appropriate, professional orientation on the the healing of psychic wounds. The therapy has to be professional in structure and content. To the healing belongs the insight into “why”: what can one learn from his or her complaints and problems. So Meaning Questions have to be talked about too. The therapist will have to offer a total package.
Profile
I’ve done my training courses at the Jungiaans Opleidingsinstituut at Nijmegen. The training to become Analytical Therapist takes 5 years. Thereby it is necessary that the student, next to many lectures and study, gets a long-term therapy himself. I graduated as a Master of Science in Complementary, Psychosocial and Integrated Health Sciences at the Interuniversity College for Health and Development in Grazz (Austria). Next to that I am a Psycho-analytical Hypnotherapist and I have a Master Classification® for Hypnotherapy. I am a registered member of the JVATN (Jungian Association for Analytical Therapists Netherlands) reg. nr. 01001, of the NBVH (Dutch Association of Hypnotherapists) reg. nr. 98032 and of the RBCZ reg. nr. 403053R. S.C.A.G. reg. nr. 10089, BIG reg. nr. 09001880530. I have been working since December 1999 as an independent therapist. Before that I worked 13 years at the clinic, day treatment and policlinic for psychotherapy in Bennebroek. Next to my work as Analytical Therapist I was the founder and the first chairman of the Jungiaanse Vereniging voor Analytisch Therapeuten Nederland. In the meantime I spend less time in the association so that I have more time for my work as a therapist. I am now an honorary member of the association.
