The therapy is given in sessions with a regularity of one hour per week. I always start with considering the complaint, the psychological problem and the meaning of it in your life. Than we identify the most important moments in your life and identify themes regarding the problems. To this we link the target to the therapy. The therapy itself consists of several sessions. In a session we go deeper into the themes. It is possible that I ask you to work at home on a specific topic as preparation for the next session. We keep an eye on the effect of the therapy by discussing changes and events in the past week and by means of evaluations. It is not possible to say something solid about the the duration of the total therapy. This depends on the aims that are set and the intensity of the problems. What it’s all about is that you’re going to feel that the changes that occur are getting stabilized, the complaints fade and you’re going to feel good. In short, the goal of therapy will be achieved. Than we can we can jointly give shape to the completion of the therapy. By identifying and reflecting on how you’re going, it is possible at the beginning of therapy, that  you perceive unpleasant feelings between the sessions. For some that’s like sinking deeper on the moment that therapy begins. As a matter of fact this is not sinking deeper, but it is it is a consequence of the need to consider your situation, so you feel more clearly how it actually goes with you.
